Pumpkin Patch!

Although it's a week or two earlier than we normally go, the sunny skies and cooler than average temperatures inspired us to go to Gentry's Farm for a day of fun at the pumpkin patch.

We enjoyed the hay and corn mazes, seeing the animals, hayrides, the tire swings and of course, picking some beautiful pumpkins!  You can definitely see the effects of the long, dry summer.  The corn field that they transform into the maze was not only more sparse, but the corn was shorter, too.  The upside of that is no getting lost for a prolonged period of time when you let your 6 and 9 year old navigate!

Although I've had fall decorations out for a little while, I need to get the Halloween stuff out this week, because with pumpkins picked, costumes chosen or in progress of being made (thank you, Mom!), the 31st will be here before you know it!
