Hello, Saturday!

So so so so glad that the weekend is here. We stumbled through this week.  Badly.   Often on our hands and knees.

We have to get it together.

Now.

Or at least by Monday morning.

Matt had his first flag football game of the season today.  Unfortunately, the Cowboys fell to to the Jets 35-7.  Matt played backup QB, which made him super happy.   He had some great throws, but obviously it wasn't enough.

Thankfully, he has already moved past his disappointment and has his sights set on his Fantasy Football draft tomorrow night.   #Won'tTalkAboutAnythingElse

The rest of the day was reasonably leisurely.  I slept until 7, knocked out a few loads of laundry, took a nice hike before the weather got too hot and hunted for baton costumes for Gracie online.  Charlie put a small wrench in plans when he rolled around in something horribly stinky in the yard, which added "give the dog a bath" to my do list (as well as another load of laundry), but it could have been worse.

For now, I'll enjoy the fact that it's 6:15 pm and our day has largely wrapped.  Bassam is finishing up dinner, the weather cooled down a bit so I'm hoping to sit out on the porch tonight with a glass of wine, a movie, and get some planning for Girl Scouts done.

After all, the first meeting of the year is 5 days away.  Plenty of time, right?
