Camp week!

Returned today from 4 days in Knoxville with Gracie at twirling camp.  Once again, it was blistering hot, horribly humid and for my girl, all kinds of fun.

We decided to stay off-campus this year in a hotel just a block off campus.  Smart choice.  It was so much more relaxing for both her and me.

Gracie hooked up with a few girls we had met casually at competitions this year and they became fast friends.  Definitely helped make the week more fun for her than last year.

She learned a lot and once again got to twirl fire on the last night.  Always a highlight, albeit a scary one for her mama!

Meanwhile, Matt is at golf camp for the week.  It's only one town over, but it is residential so he's gone, too.   He is able to call us at night, but he claims it's so loud in the gathering room that it's too hard to hear, so he texts instead.   A likely story.  However, he says he is having fun, learning a lot AND the food is good.  What more can you ask for?   I miss his face.   

But a phone call would be nice.
