Harlem Legends!

A fun night for the Cub Scouts tonight.  The Harlem Legends were at Woodland Middle School for a fundraiser.   My pal Dee Ann (who is on the PTO at Woodland) arranged for our den to work at the event as hosts, ticket takers, etc. as a service project.  In exchange, the boys got to attend the meet-n-greet with the players beforehand and got seats in the VIP section, which just happened to be in the front row!

I don't know about you, but we never miss the Globetrotters when they are in town and you should do the same for the Legends.   Not only do you get to see all the tricks the Globetrotters are famous for (and these guys still have game!), but they raise money for non-profits and do motivational speaking about succeeding in the game of life.  Plus it tends to be in smaller venues so you get to see them close up!

As it happens, it might have been a little too close up for some.  Just ask Bassam who was brought out on to the floor in the middle of the game to dance.  

Safe to say Michael Douglas (leader of the Legends, not the actor!) had faaaaaar better moves than my husband. 

Regardless, everyone had a great time, plus the Legends beat the Williamson County All-Stars (a team of teachers, firefighters, police officers, etc) 89-40.
